Born and raised in Latin America, with seventeen years service in leadership training in Guatemala, Bill Taylor (Diploma from Moody, BA from NTU, ThM from DTS; PhD, University of Texas) served the Missions Commission of the World Evangelical Alliance for thirty years, twenty years as it’s Executive Director and ten as Senior Mentor.

As founder and president of TaylorGlobalConsult he is now fully released to focus on mentoring and consulting, writing and teaching. Bill has served the missionary movement for 55 years in several capacities: theological education, leadership development, church planting, global networking, consulting and mentoring, writing and speaking. The TGC board has released him to give 50% of his time to the innovative Spanish-language apologetics platform based in Guatemala, CRUX Institute, institutocrux.org (Spanish and English site).

Bill’s primary investment and contribution is wisdom, worldwide connectivity, and life-on-life relationship. TGC desires to increase the capacity to positively change lives, whether through a micro-project or a macro-venture. The change can apply to an individual or an organization, a foundation or an educational institution.

He also brings to the table fifty-five years of cross-cultural experience in Latin America (thirty years of his life) and three decades around the world in service with WEA Mission Commission.  He has served in grass-roots ministry as well as in mission academia, and knows the global scene and its key leaders with a unique perspective.

Bill and Yvonne, a native Texan, were married in 1967. Together they have three children born in Guatemala, and eight grandchildren. They live in Austin and worship at Christ Church-Anglican.
